In a significant step towards addressing Africa’s housing deficit, the University of Nairobi has entered into a groundbreaking strategic partnership with the Shelter Afrique Development Bank (ShafDB). The collaboration, formalized in a high-level meeting on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025, aims to leverage academic research and innovation to create scalable, affordable housing solutions.

The University of Nairobi is set to deepen its collaboration with leading international professional bodies to enhance academic and professional standards in the built environment. A high-level strategic meeting was held on Wednesday, 26th, between the Department of Real Estate, Construction Management and Quantity Surveying (RECMQS), the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), and the African Real Estate Society (AfRES).

The University of Nairobi wishes to inform all students who qualified for the award of various degrees and diplomas at the end of last academic year (2024/2025) and members of the public, that the 74th Graduation Ceremony will be held PHYSICALLY on Thursday, December 11, 2025, commencing at 7.30 a.m. at the Chancellor’s Court.
