The University of Nairobi wishes to inform the following groups of students (Module I and Module II) that the commencement and opening dates for the 2023/2024 Academic Year is as follows:

1. MONDAY 25th, SEPTEMBER 2023 - FIRST SEMESTER

Arch. Isaac Nyabwana, Arch Cosmas Busima, Quantity Surveyor Bramwell Kimokoti, and Prof. Stephen O. Diang’a paid a courtesy call to the Dean of the Faculty of Built Environment and Design on Tuesday, July 11, 2023! the four are alumni from the 1970s. 

The Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Nairobi recently held short course certificate training in ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Remote Sensing, Google Earth Engine, Google Earth, and Kobo Collect. The training was open to second year BA in Planning students, and it was held from June 10th to July 7, 2023.

The University of Nairobi (UoN) unveiled its official attire on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 in a highly anticipated fashion event held at the ADD Building- Faculty of Built Environment and Design. The UoN attire, the result of collaborative efforts between faculty members and fashion design students, features a variety of designs that reflect the university's rich heritage and creative spirit. The colors, symbols, and patterns used in the designs were carefully selected to represent the university's values of excellence and diversity.

The Department of Art and Design is pleased to invite you to the University Attire Fashion Show, taking place on Wednesday, 14th June 2023 at 2 pm at the Faculty of Built Environment and Design – ADD Building.

The event will feature an exhibition and a fashion show to showcase some of the designs that the Department has produced. The chief guest for the event will be the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Kiama.

The Construction and Real Estate Students Association (CRESA) held its annual student convention, awards, and gala dinner on Friday, June 2, 2023. The event was held at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Westlands, Nairobi, and brought together students, industry professionals, and esteemed guests to celebrate a year filled with outstanding accomplishments.

Nairobi, May 22nd, 2023 - The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) organized the 2nd stakeholders' public dialogue forum at the Manu Chandaria Auditorium, University Towers.

The highly anticipated 7th edition of the Annual Nairobi Innovation Week (NIW 2023) is set to take place from Wednesday, May 17th to Friday, May 19th, 2023, at the Main campus. This year's theme, "Innovation and Commercialization for Sustainable Development," promises to bring together visionaries, entrepreneurs, and innovators from various fields to explore groundbreaking ideas and foster a vibrant innovation ecosystem.

The Department of Real Estate, Construction Management and Quantity Surveying in collaboration with the Facilities Management Association of Kenya and the African Facilities Management Association invites you to a guest lecture on "Facilities Management: Theory and Practice" on Thursday, May 18 2023 from 2.00 pm.
